Our mission is to solve the data sharing problem in the scientific field. Being unable to share data shouldn't prevent you from doing your work. This is a tool that lets you easily share data in a method suitable for peer-review. This tool is 100% free to use. By using this tool you can also help others in the scientific community share their data.
Distribute data
Simply upload your data to the network and Tranche will make the data available for you or others to download. You can make your data public, or you can choose to encrypt the data and restrict access for only those you choose to give a passphrase. Tranche hosts any type of data - just like your computer's hard disk. You don't need to use any special file format.
Host your data in a secure decentralized environment
Tranche is not a centralized database or single server storage area. Tranche is a distributed network of server space across the globe. Any data added to the network is spead across the Tranche servers worldwide. The data is then broken up into small "chunks" and placed across the network with triple replication. This adds sercurity, redundancy, and ultra-fast downloading speeds. Any server or computer in the network can crash or stop working and the data on Tranche network is perfectly fine.
Multi-platform compatible
Windows, Linux, and OS X supported. No installation required. Yes, Tranche runs on your computer. You don't have to deal with any installation headaches or updating your version because the application code automatically updates and runs via Java Webstart right through your internet connection.
