You will have to apply for a Tranche account and be approved by an administrator before you will be allowed to upload data. Applying for an account can be done through the Tranche application, as shown below. Accounts that require approval are checked regularly, at least once a week, and once you've been authorized you can log in at any time.
The simplest way to apply is to fill out a Tranche User Account Application online, which should take less than a minute. If you want to follow up with an email to expedite the application (or to pass on any concerns), please contact us.
Launch the Tranche tool. After the tool has loaded, click on the "Log In" button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, as shown below.
Once the log in frame pops up, you will have to click the "Show More" button at the bottom of the frame. Note that the form currently showing is all you will need to use to log in to Tranche once your account has been approved.
Look down to the bottom of the expanded frame, and you will see a section entitled "No Account?". Click the "Apply For An Account" button at the bottom of that section.
This will bring up the "Apply For a Tranche Account" form that you need to fill and and submit.
Once you have obtained a Tranche account, you will be able to log in. When you log in for the first time, an encrypted user zip file that is valid two weeks is sent to your users directory in the background. When that file has expired, a new file will be sent to you. For the most part, you will never need to deal with these user files.
Launch the Tranche tool. After the tool has loaded, click on the "Log In" button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, as shown below.
Once the login form pops up, simply fill out your user name and passphrase and click the "Log In" button. If the information you have provided is valid, then you have successfully logged in! Otherwise, you will be informed of the problem and what needs to be done to log in successfully. As mentioned earlier, a successful log-in will result in an encrypted user zip file being saved to your user directory. This file can be used to log in, as well.
In the case you want to log in using a user zip file, start by clicking the "Show More" button at the bottom of the log in frame.
Click on the "Log In With My User Certificate" button. You will be prompted for the user zip file you want to log in with. When prompted for a password, enter the same password you use for logging in with your Tranche account.
