Opening Tranche

Overview: The Tranche tool can be opened and run directly from your browser. Tranche is a Java application and uses WebStart technology to operate from your internet connection and does not require you to install the program on your machine.


Launch Tranche

You can upload, download and browse projects from the Tranche tool, which you can launch from your browser.

 

Launch Tranche from the homepage.

  1. You can launch Tranche from a browser at: http://tranche.proteomecommons.org/Tranche.jnlp

Accept the terms of use for using Tranche.

  1. After Tranche launhes, you will be prompted to comply with the legal requirements. Click the OK button and you will be ready to use Tranche.

  1. While the project information is loading, you should see a progress bar near the bottom of the tool. Please note that the tool may take up to 1 minute to load project information.

  1. When the project cache is loaded, a list of projects will appear in the projects pane.

This is the main window of the Tranche GUI.

You will now be able to start using Tranche from the main window of the graphical user interface (GUI).
